This policy explains how Peelepicks LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App.

1. Information we collect

The App may create an anonymous Firebase user identifier so guest data can be kept separate. If you link an optional account, Firebase Authentication processes the name, email address, profile image, provider identifier, and sign-in information supplied by that provider. The App also stores content you create, including sleep logs, goals, diary entries, favorites, mixes, imported-audio metadata, profile preferences, quiz results, reminder settings, and support requests.

2. Apple Health sleep data

Apple Health connection is optional. After an in-app explanation and the Apple permission sheet, the App requests read-only access to the sleep categories you approve, which may include time in bed, asleep, awake, core/light, deep, and REM sleep. It may derive duration, schedule, stage, and trend values from those records. Imported records and derived sleep metrics are stored in the App’s Firebase cloud database to display history, summaries, and trends. The App does not write data to Apple Health and does not use Apple Health data for advertising, marketing, or data mining.

3. Purchases

Apple processes payment information. RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement information such as product and transaction identifiers, subscription status, trial status, renewal, and expiration timing so the App can unlock premium features and restore purchases. We do not receive full payment-card numbers. A personal App account is not required for an eligible purchase or Restore Purchases.

4. Audio imports and device features

If you choose to import audio, the App accesses only the file you select and may upload it to the App’s Firebase Storage area for your user identifier. If you enable local notifications, the App stores reminder times and schedules notifications on your device. Device permissions are requested in context when a feature needs them.

5. Advertising and performance data

The free experience may display non-personalized Google AdMob banners after checking your privacy choices. AdMob may process IP address, device identifiers, app/device information, diagnostics, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. We do not request access to your advertising identifier or use Apple Health data, sleep records, journal entries, or account identifiers to target ads. Advertising privacy choices are available in the app under More → Privacy Policy when required for your region. Firebase Performance collects technical information such as app startup, network timing, device information, and installation identifiers to help diagnose performance.

6. How information is used

We use information to authenticate users; save and display sleep and wellness records; provide optional Apple Health import; operate audio, favorites, mixes, reminders, quizzes, and support; manage purchases and premium access; maintain security; diagnose technical performance; and display advertising where applicable.

7. Service providers and disclosure

Information is processed by Firebase for authentication, database, and storage services; by Apple and RevenueCat for purchases and entitlements; by Apple HealthKit when you authorize read access; and by Google AdMob when advertisements are displayed. We require service providers that process user data on our behalf to protect it to the same or an equivalent standard described in this policy and required by App Store rules, and to use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety, or to prevent fraud and abuse. Private user and sleep records are not intended to be visible to other App users.

8. Your choices and controls

You can use the App as a guest, optionally link an account, change notification settings, use Restore Purchases, revoke future Apple Health access in the Health app or iOS Settings, delete imported Health records using the App’s data controls, and request account deletion. Revoking Apple Health permission stops future authorized access but does not itself delete records already stored by the App.

9. Retention and deletion

We retain information while needed to operate the App, maintain an account or entitlement, respond to support, protect security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. In-app account deletion removes your Firebase sign-in and starts deletion of associated App records and user uploads. It also revokes Sign in with Apple access when connected. Contact us if you need help with deletion. Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction records under their own obligations. Deleting an App account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

10. Security

We use authentication, owner-scoped database and storage rules, and platform security controls intended to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

11. Children, international use, and changes

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Processing may occur in countries where service providers operate. We may update this policy and will revise the effective date when we do.
